Lol maybe this is useless, but anyone want to speculate on what hogeris does differently?
I thought this was an interesting game with hogeris: Example
Starting at round 24 he stacks his side so high as if he knows he will not get punished for it. So I feel like he might do some analysis of his opponent's stack. Also I feel like his move at round 24 where he stacks his S piece to intentionally overhang over 2 holes says something about his search strategy. It feels like his strategy is inherently "optimistic." He's alright with setting up a poor position because he knows he will be able to repair the position in the future. Maybe this means his search strategy doesn't involve "averaging" scores together but rather choosing a particular line of play and hoping he gets those pieces eventually. Probably means you have to be careful with pruning too; don't wanna prune "bad positions" that could get repaired easily.
I don't know though, anyone else have thoughts?
