For all our competitions we support a variety of programming languages.
We have provided several Starterbots for each competition on the getting started page. It is possible to add new languages, so just ask if you're really missing one in the above list. When you upload a bot, just upload a .zip/.tar.gz/.rar file of your uncompiled source files on your profile page.
Note: There is a Languages page now with details on all the languages that are supported.

This looks like a really great game!
Recently I have become a fan of Scala, and I would love to take my chances if I could use it. It runs on the JVM and is interoperable with Java. Would it be possible/easy to add support for it?

We actually had a scalatron a while back, so Scala was already on our list for supported languages. It will be added soon

Could you elaborate on "Note: in PHP and Python you need to include main at the top of you main file for our compile script to work"? I am trying to get my Python code to work, and it does for the test input case, but when it moves on to the test match it only returns null values.

I just added support for Haskell, however it is not fully tested yet as I don't have a working Haskell bot and my knowledge of Haskell isn't what it used to be. If you're planning on creating a Haskell bot and you uploaded it, let me know if it works or not

Why not vb?

I would love to use Clojure :-). As this language can be compiled to a single jar file, is it possible to support upload of a single jar file ?

If any of you is willing to port the starter bot to one of the languages mentioned, please let us know. It would speed up the implementation process considerably if we have bots written in these languages available for testing.
