I'm using python 2 and wish to store data with cPickle. However, my bot seems to get the error "ValueError: insecure string pickle" when uploaded. I don't have this problem when the program is run on my local machine. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello there! I am using Python 3 and also want to store data. i tried using json but it said permissions denied. Is it not possible to make selflearning neural AIs for the competitions?

Bookworm, look the repo I posted a while ago. I think I got some kind of pickle working. By self learning do you mean online learning? I'm not sure if that's possible. Also if you have any cool neural network ideas I'd love to hear em.

Thank you for the fast reply. yeah, i want my AI to play against online opponents, after a lost game it does a backpropagation algorithm to learn from the enemy it was facing. I will look into your solution for the loading/saving and hope it then works :D

Online learning is not possible at the moment because you cannot save data between games. If you want to train your bot it can be done offline by either analyzing match data or training locally against your own bots.
