There seems to be an annoying bug in the calculation of points.
In this game: http://theaigames.com/competitions/go/games/56f03e9c8be8df4ef3a2d96f between Hohol and MrGobot, in round 127, Hohol's points jump suddenly from 107 to 200, without any reason. He does not even take a stone in this round.
Moreover, he wins the game, based on this erroneous calculation, although at the end of the game he has 80 stones on the board and 38 prisoners, while MrGobot has 112 stones on the board and 70 prisoners.
Can this be fixed?

The whole left side of the board is now considered Hohol's, as he just marked off that part of the board. As far as I understand the rules, it's correct.
This is also where the round limit gets interesting - if you'd plonked one unchallenged stone there in round 147-150, that would have dropped his score by 100 points or so.

Ah, thanks for the explanation!
I missed that rule completely. Time for an update of my bot.

yes. Your score is the number of your stones + the size of empty areas that are only surrounded by your stones. Your move 147 changed the left area to "only surrounded by blue", giving an enormous score boost.
