Your bot is involved in about 30 out of every 50 matches played. For perspective, my bot was only involved in 6 out of the last 50 and all of those were all against you and none of them counted for anything because they were all challenges. I don't think the people lower on the ladder are even getting that many because (from what I can tell) you only challenge a few different bots.
I admit, I had the same thought to write a script to automate challenges, but it turns out it kind of breaks things for everyone else.

For the last 12 hours, there were 12 challenges per hour, and in the previous days he's also got a LOT of challenges, so there is no doubt that he's got a script running. It is not directly forbidden by the rules, but one could also argue about that (more scripted challenges implies less time for automatic challenges for which the score is counted, and the rules state that "Any attempt to disrupt the normal operation of the contest software or the contest servers will result in the immediate...").
This game is really fun, but I hope that people like Corniel/Kaasschaaf won't have a negative impact on it.

I didn't think he could be using a script, makes sense though! There are so many challenges from him that it's "difficult" to find any game that is not against him in the log of my bot...

Why are challenges affecting ladder games? That seems totally ridiculous to me. Ladder games that actually count for something should be played regardless of the number of challenges, even if it means that challenges take much longer to compute, IMO.

Well, currently, there are apparently not many ranked matches because of a lack of server capacity. Scripting challenges only make things worst.
Somebody wrote in a thread about "rating not being updated" the following: "We're aware of the fact that there are not enough ranked matches being played. Adding server capacity is on the roadmap for early next month."
Well, that's, in my opinion, a reason sufficient for not scripting challenges.

Looking at the match history, this seems to be a real issue (Kaasschaaf plays around 80% of the games). Maybe it is a good idea to at least limit the number of challenges per day till the server capacities are upgraded. This way scripting challenges would hopefully be limited to a reasonable amount and ranked games could be played more often.

I missed this discussion. Sorry if I caused some inconvenience. I've reduced the number of challenges a lot (I did it every 5 minutes, and dropped that to 1 hour). And I did not scheduled all bots, as I'm not interested in bots I can easily get scores against close to 100 percent.

Corniel, were you datamining? I thought about doing that, but apparently it's not well received ;)

@Jeff06: I was also working on an opening book. But for now postponed that.

If you want to get data from all matches (not only the ones including you), you can add /data to the address of a match, for example:

@Corniel: "And I did not scheduled all bots, as I'm not interested in bots I can easily get scores against close to 100 percent."
That does not make it less annoying for others.
