I have set the first active version of my bot several days ago and I haven't played one ranked match yet.
I'm aware of the load of your servers and of the usefulness of challenges (I use them myself to test new bots against games that I recently lost to bots with a similar ELO), but if those are contributing to the general slowdown wouldn't it be useful if you set a longer timeout to reduce load?
Just an idea, of course, but I would be really curious to discover where will my ELO be if I play ranked matches. :-)

Ok, I just saw that I activated my bot only 2 days ago, so I might be overreacting. :-) Time flows in strange ways when you're eagerly waiting for something, I thought it was longer.
Still the suggestion stands.

Last I was aware, they had a separate server running challenge matches, so that they would not affect the rate of ranked matches.
I do think it would be worth giving priority to recent uploads - I haven't uploaded for quite a while, and would be entirely content to have my match rate slow down compared with people who are actively developing their bots.
