There is no JS starterbot available yet for this competition, but you could take a look at the JS starterbot for the old Warlight AI Challenge, because it is largely the same.

I created test source on js and tried to load it, but "Error dump" error appears. Is problem in my code or something with server-side compiler?

Did you upload the JS starterbot straight away? Try again please, it should work, because I just tested it.

NikooO_o did you ever figure out your issue?
I'm in a similar boat. The starter bot uploaded fine for me, but since modifying the bot I get an dump error, but nothing shows up in the error. Checking the console, there is some cache miss error when it tries to retrieve the dump through AJAX.
I've tested my bot with sample input taking from the getting started page and it outputs what it needs to and only what it needs to, no more. For this reason I wonder what the issue is.
I don't doubt there is a problem with my bot, however I can't know what that problem is right now, because there is an issue on the website preventing the dump message from showing.
Devs could you fix the compile dump issue. from the console error message, it sounds like your node cache system has got some kinda issue.
EDIT: Looking at the result of the dump request and the result of jquery.autocomplete, it looks like you have some kind of file access error, either file permissions, router issue, or just 404 if the name has changed for things.

@funkjunky: The IO dump works fine for me. Could you try to clear the browser cache and let us know whether the problem persists?

The problem persists. If you have full access to all the files, then perhaps try my specific dump: http://theaigames.com/my/bots/54b306bc5d203c22578b456f/13/errors/compiler
hmmm... the 'my' part makes me think maybe it only works if you're logged in as me... Regardless I imagine the hash in the middle and the version after it should give you access to which dump it is.
Also I've been randomly fixing things that I knew might cause issues... but it's challenging doing it blindly lol.
(FYI: I'm using latest chrome. I just tried latest stable Firefox and got the same issue.)

I've looked at the output of the sample bot and compared it to the sample of my current bot and everything looks in order... further, the sample bot actually has errors in it's output, yet I noticed your system handles them gracefully, like choosing starting positions, the starting bot tried to choose 10000, and was simply given another try to answer correctly.
This makes me believe there is something else that is causing me grief... like file structure or something. I have the filename as ./Bot.js and I've been testing my bot by simply using the command 'node Bot.js < sampleInput'
There aren't any additional restrictions on the bot, besides have Bot.js run the server, correct?

If your bot runs locally, it should run on the server as well. Does your main file include the following in a comment block? If not, this may very well be the issue:
/** * __main__ */

oh shit... i deleted that...

Yay, I'm getting output now! Thanks. I'd suggest writing up some 'requirements' in the getting started, so people know what is necessary for their bot. Also now you know if you don't provide a main comment, then no output is given, that should probably be corrected to perhaps show some of the necessary requirements like 'Hey perhaps you missed 1. 2. 3. /* main */ 4. etc.

Normally it should say something like `Main file not found´, but apparently not for JS. I´ll have a look at it.

Cool, keep up the good work ^^
FYI my bot is now fully operational. Dumb, but operational =P. I spent most of last night thinking up ideas for the AI, so I'm excited to finally get to try things.
