As far as i gather, the bot only gets information of which regions are wasteland. ( but not the troop counts )
Are the neutral troop counts defined constant OR subject to change / variation. Could these be known at setup - or do my bot have to wait for update_map (visible regions) to know expected resistance from neutral / wastelands.
How many troops on neutral regions ? (Is this always the same ?)
How many troops on wasteland regions ? (And is this always the same ?)

Regarding your questions, the troop count on neutral regions is always 2. The initial troop count for wastelands is 10 and should be passed to your bot as a setting.

I've now been watching some of the matches and see (at least the recent ones) initial troop counts of "2" on neutrals and "6" on wastelands.
My understanding is that these numbers have been changed sometime back, so therefore "could" be changed again in the future.
Code your bot accordingly. My solution is using global constants for these two values. x-d:-)
